Here is PDB's midweek devotional message on "Waiting and Praying" using Acts 1:3-5 and and example from Luke 2. May the Lord fuel your faith with the truth of His word, as we aim to be patient and persevering people of prayer.

When you said "that was the situation and they knew it couldn't be changed" @4:05. That is so like our Lord to put us in a sitation that no person, self included can work thier way out!

I have found that the waiting period can be a time of refreshing a especially as you pointed out in the Word in But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” How the Word cleans us, renews our strength and most importantly fills our mind with the knowldge of God and draws us closer into that personal relationship He so desires us to have - worship Him - Father there is none like you.
