![]() Join us at 9:30 AM on Easter Sunday, March 27th to celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ! We will sing the great traditional Easter hymn, "Christ the Lord is risen Today!" and others, as we rejoice in what our God has done. The Youth Choir will bring a special offertory anthem too. The sermon will be "Witnesses for the Resurrection" based on the central role of this historical event for believers as recorded in the book of Acts. All are welcome at CPCC! What is “Maundy Thursday”?
March 24th is Maundy Thursday with a communion service at 7:30 PM. You could refer to it as “Good Friday–Eve” — it was the night before Jesus’ betrayal and crucifixion on Good Friday. That evening Jesus gathered His disciples to eat the Passover meal, which we know as the Last Supper. At that meal Jesus used the bread and a cup of wine and instituted Christian Communion — the Lord’s Supper — giving His disciples a command to love one another (‘maundy’ comes from command, as in “mandate”). Plan to join us at 7:30 PM for this special service. On Sunday, March 6th, we're singing a wonderful song called "My Worth Is Not in What I Own" by the Gettys. Here's a link to check it out online. |
