March 29th is Maundy Thursday (prior to Good Friday) when we have a communion service at CPCC at 7:00 PM. You could refer to it as “Good Friday–Eve” since it was the night before Jesus’ betrayal and crucifixion. That Thursday evening Jesus gathered His disciples to eat the Passover meal, which we now know as the Last Supper. At that meal Jesus used the bread and a cup of wine and instituted Christian Communion — the Lord’s Supper — and gave His disciples a command to love one another (‘maundy’ comes from command, as in “mandate”).
