This Wednesday, November 25th, join us for a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7:00 PM. The hour long service includes singing traditional hymns of praise and thanks, a brief sermon, and time for sharing thanks – out loud – by the congregation. It is a wonderful annual event. All are welcome.
![]() November 8th, on our Communion Sunday, we invite everyone to bring your own lunch to church for a Fellowship Luncheon at Noon. You can bring a hot or cold lunch (the kitchen is available to all), and perhaps something to share — or to offer any visitors who can stay. Then linger for casual time with others before an "early afternoon” worship service at 2 PM (there is no 6 pm service on Nov. 8th). Brian Spivey will be teaching again on the Ten Commandments. If this is a helpful format, we may repeat it monthly on Communion Sundays, so give your feedback to Deacon Chad Granger or one of the Elders. ![]() Reformation Sunday Festival — 6 PM — November 1st There is no evening service at CPCC Nov. 1st, as we all attend the special Reformation Sunday Festival at First Presbyterian Church in Schenectady at 6:00 PM. Several area churches will be participating. The special guest speaker is Dr. Michael A.G. Haykin, prolific author and a professor at SBTS, with specialties in Patristics (early church fathers) as well as modern baptist history. There will be a festival choir [if you’d like to join the choir and learn the two anthems, please attend rehearsal at 5 PM]. We hope to see hundreds at this wonderful celebration of the Protestant Reformation, and the recovery of a gospel of grace! |
