Eivion Williams Funeral plans

4/19/2016

Dear Members & Friends,

On Sunday evening, our dear brother (member & deacon) Eivion Williams passed from this life into glory and the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. His last day was spent mostly in quiet rest with his family gathered around him. Eivion’s confidence and complete trust in a gracious, sovereign Lord was firm to the very end. Please be praying for his wife, Nan, his children Sean and Erin, his surviving siblings, and his four young grandsons.
The funeral will be at Noon on Friday, April 22, at Faith Baptist Church in Rexford (not at CPCC), with calling hours there from 10 AM to Noon.
Psalm 116:15 declares,
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

The Obituary:

Eivion L. Williams
, “Eiv”, 72, passed away peacefully in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Ellis Hospital. Eiv was born in Albany, where he grew up the son of the late Eivion and Dellamae Wagoner Williams.  A ’61 graduate of Colonie High School, he attended Russell Sage College. He was united in marriage for 50 years to the former Mariana Villasenor on July 31, 1965 at O.L. of Lordes Grotto at Vincentian Institute in Albany,

Eiv and Nan raised their family in Clifton Park over the years. Eiv was president of Mohawk Trailer Supply in Schenectady for 20 years until he sold the business in 1990. He was president of Warehouse Distribution Association. He became director of Schenectady City Mission for 5 years, then Development Director at MeKeel Christian Academy in Scotia. Membership Seminar

4/9/2016

Regular attenders at CPCC will be interested in our upcoming membership seminar this Spring. It’s a half-day time to consider the biblical case for formally joining a local church, and then learning about CPCC in particular. You get lots of information — and an opportunity to ask questions. There is no obligation to apply for membership, but that is often the next step in the process.  We will meet on Saturday morning, April 9th, at 9:30 AM and be done before Noon.

Please email the Pastor if you are interested. (RSVP required.)
