Our annual Church Picnic is June 9th from Noon to 4 PM, at Collins Park (just across the street). Come and enjoy wonderful food, fellowship & lots of fun. Bring your own meat to grill, and a salad or dessert to share. There are some items we need help carrying over to the park — please pitch-in. Visitors are most welcome. Come and enjoy our fellowship!
April 18th is Maundy Thursday with a communion service here at 7:30 PM. You could refer to it as “Good Friday–Eve” for it was the night before Jesus’ betrayal and crucifixion on Good Friday. That Thursday evening Jesus gathered His disciples to eat the Passover mea, which we now know as the Last Supper. At that meal Jesus used the bread and a cup of wine to institute Christian Communion — the Lord’s Supper. And He gave His disciples a command to love one another (‘maundy’ comes from command, as in “mandate”).
Plan to join us at 7:30 PM for this somber service. All are welcome.
On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, from 12 — 1 PM, Pastor David Bissett will be the guest speaker at Faith Baptist Church's Lenten Luncheon. The topic is SPIRITUAL HUMILITY from Philippians 2. Join us as we prepare to celebrate Easter with a time of food, fellowship, and spiritual encouragement.
Reservations may be made by contacting the church office: 518-399-2220 ext. 101 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
FBC is located at 11 Glenridge Rd, Rexford, NY 12148.
On Sunday, March 24, join us at Noon for an all-church fellowship luncheon, featuring chicken parmesan & ziti (from Venezia’s). Everyone can bring either a salad or dessert to share. Then attend our annual Church Business Meeting (at around 1:15 PM); members are expected to be present, and everyone else is very welcome to join us. We will vote on two new members, and proposed annual budget.
*We still need volunteers to help prepare for our luncheon and help with clean-up; please see a deacon today to lend a hand.
CPCC’s Adult Class is looking at "Job & Joy" — first using a Ligonier DVD series on the Book of Job with Dr Derek Thomas, then in the spring a series on Joy with Dr RC Sproul. The class meets in the Fireside Room at 11 AM. All are welcome. In the DVD series on the Book of Job, Dr. Derek W.H. Thomas walks us through the book of Job and considers what the Bible says about our darkest moments. He addresses the difficult question of the relationship between God’s sovereignty and the existence of evil, sin, and suffering.
The schedule for the next 12 weeks can be opened here. or see it below...
