Monthly events at CPCC
The Lord’s Supper & Benevolence Offering — 2nd Sundays, 9:30 AM
The Lord's Supper (Communion) is observed on the second Sunday each month. Every professing believer in Christ may partake after listening carefully to the invitation and warning given at that time. Children are asked to refrain, unless they have been prepared in advance to properly participate. Our Benevolence Fund (for helping members & friends with material needs) is filled by an offering taken in conjunction with our monthly Communion service. It is administered by the Deacons of CPCC. IMF: IRON MAN FELLOWSHIP* Men & teens of the church often gather on a Saturday once a month for the “Iron Man Fellowship” breakfast — named for our desire to sharpen one another (“as iron sharpens iron” Proverbs 27:17). We enjoy a delicious hot breakfast at the church, cooked in the kitchen. Come early if you want to help! We also have focused Bible study on a topic of importance to men. *The IMF schedule is currently on hold; watch for further announcements The Women's Brunch — Women of the church, young and old, gather on one Saturday a month for a delicious brunch and time in God's Word in the Fireside Room. Everyone brings a food item from home (see sign-up sheet). The women are currently studying in the book of Titus. All are welcome! Serve at Schenectady City Mission — 4th Mondays* at 5:30 PM Each month members and friends of CPCC seek to serve the needy in the city of Schenectady by spending an hour helping serve the hot meal at the City Mission, beginning at 5:15 PM. Prior to praying for the meal, one of our men takes a few moments to point others to the Savior with a short gospel message. VOLUNTEERS MUST SIGN-UP ONLINE, IN ADVANCE, See the online volunteer info and City Mission sign-up here. |
