CONFERENCE PLANS

Sr. Pastor David Bissett will attend the Banner of Truth Minister's Conference May 27-29, in Elizabethtown, PA. This annual gathering is for pastors/elders (only) and makes use of a college campus (chapel, dining hall, dorms) to foster greater fellowship among the nearly 300 men attending. 

The theme for this year’s conference is A Lifetime in Ministry. The three main sessions will focus on Starting Out, Pressing On, and Finishing Well. The topics to be taken up at the other sessions will complement these and help to fill out the picture of what a fruitful and God-honouring gospel ministry looks like over the long-haul and how we can both achieve it and maintain it.

PREACHING PLANS

After attending this conference, Pastor Bissett will remain in Pennsylvania to preach on Sunday, June 1st at Windsor Baptist Church. Their pastor Rev. Ben O'Toole (who was our 2024 Prayer Week speaker) will be away on a sabbatical. The Elders of CPCC approved this as a ministry of the Word, as well as a second Sunday of PDB preaching there on July 6th. On those two Sundays, CPCC's pulpit will hear from Pastor Brian Spivey (on June 1st) and Mr Ken Burl, a local PCA Elder (on July 6th).
